Alex’s practice at Coast and Country Compensation Lawyers centres on complex personal injury litigation, including catastrophic injury, professional negligence, and construction and building defect claims.
Alex has a long history in litigation. He has represented clients in the Supreme Courts of New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and Tasmania. In proceedings in the Federal Court, Alex acted for victims of the June 2016 Vanuatu bus accident that resulted in three fatalities and injuries to eleven Australians. He was involved in investigating compensation claims arising from the 2019 White Island eruption that resulted in the deaths of twenty-two people, and the Hillcrest Primary School jumping castle accident that caused the death of six children in Tasmania’s north. Alex has acted for numerous children who were sexually abused in foster care and juvenile justice in NSW, Victoria and Tasmania. This is an area that has been a focus of his practice over the last five years.
